Julie has had a very successful private practice for the past 20 years as a trauma counselor. She also helps those who need healing after bank robberies, suicides, and other traumatic loss and traumas. Her delight is to run towards people that have been placed in traumatic situations.

As a survivor of numerous traumatic circumstances, Julie's story has been aired on various radio programs including: Of Faith and Family with Dr. Richard Land, Focus on the Family with Dr. James Dobson, and Unshackled by Pacific Garden Missions, many other radio broadcasts including Moody radio, as well as the 700 club, and Life Today. Julie draws from personal experiences and the healing she has found in Christ to share hope and healing with other victims of trauma.

Julie co-authored her life story, Restoring the Heart: Experiencing Christ's Healing after Brokenness with Mathew Woodley. She also wrote Post-Abortion Trauma: The Silent Side of Abortion with Mark Kretschmar, and Surviving the Storms of Life with Dr. H. Norman Wright and Mathew Woodley, as well as several articles on post-abortion trauma and childhood sexual abuse for various publications. Julie also produced In the Wildflowers, for those who have suffered the trauma of childhood emotional, physical, sexual, or spiritual abuse/neglect. The DVD series with curriculum is being used all over the country and now in other countries. She also completed the production of Into My Arms for those who want to heal from the pain of an abortion.

Julie's passion and calling is to become richly involved in the lives of others, inviting them to consider their own hearts and helping them discard the things that rob them of the joy that God has for them.

Julie's desire to reach women and men who have experienced childhood sexual abuse came out of her own healing, during which she created the In the Wildflowers curriculum series. For years she has listened to the heartbeat of God each step of the way as He wove each piece of the process together.
